When we started our tree care and removal company, Brown Hound Tree Service, we vowed to save as much wood as possible from the landfill. We started with a Stihl 880 chainsaw and an Alaskan sawmill, and began cutting live edge slabs. Now, with a Norwood LumberPro HD36, we mill slabs and lumber more efficiently from locally-sourced wood. We offer a wide variety of slabs for sale, as well as turning blanks, branches, stumps, hollow logs, chips, sawdust, and tree cookies, while also fulfilling custom milling orders. The bottom line is this: We don't let our customers' trees go to waste- they live on through local artists and craftsmen! Whether you're experienced or just like to dabble, we work with wood workers, artists, crafters and the like, to make available local tree species that you don't necessarily see for sale by other local retailers, at a reasonable price.
