We are located in the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia two and a half miles back in the mountains from the little village of Elliston. It is located between Christiansburg and Salem just off Interstate 81 at the Dixie Caverns exit. We purchased a manual band sawmill some years ago to do our own remodeling and projects on the farm. As time went on we started doing work for friends and neighbors. Request got large enough that we had to turn work down or upgrade to a more automated mill in which we did. We welcome the hobbyist wood worker that has one log to make the special project he or she wants, or the person that wants to build a 60 foot by 90 foot barn. We also saw old beams from log structures, reclaimed lumber, and other projects. We can mill off sight but due to cost we try not to move the mill for less than 4000 to 5000 board feet of sawing.
