Rusty's started out as a part time Portable Sawmill Service in 1984 while Rusty O'Dell, our founder, was working swing shift at RAAP in Radford VA. In 1996 we went full time Portable. In 2003 to 2008 we were a stationary sawing operation sawing beams and timbers for the Log Home industry.

In March of 2008, with the housing market decline, we decided to start a small lumber yard. With the good Lord's help, we were guided by His plans to broaden our services to the full-service, family operated business that is serving our customers today. We now providing our customers with a variety of products including bulk wood mulches, decorative landscaping gravels, rough green sawmill lumber that can be used for small and large project. We will sell you one board or a truck load. In the winter we offer firewood that is air dried in our warehouse.
